Love this so much! I also started the book you recommended here—so good!

Thank you for sharing! I have a device that locks specific apps that I set it to black. I am working on using it more, and I really want to cut my screen time in half.

I had noticed on your page that your sabbath also includes being off social media and I really like that idea!

Love that! There are so many good tools to help limit screen time, for me it’s actually using the tools that I need to be consistent in 😅

Yes! It’s been so good for me to have my sabbath off of social media and not scroll in my downtime. Instead I pray for something specific each week, or study my Bible, or spend time with my family and friends 💗

"What technologies serve my aims? And what are my goals in the first place?”

As a pastor's wife, I've inherited the job of posting each Sunday's sermon online. It doesn't take long, and I follow that with making sure his writing is edited regarding spelling and punctuation. I'm a writer, after all.

However, I do not even own a personal phone. So, aside for tiny V.A. jobs for the church, I'm largely off line on Sundays, and only on a computer during the week. But the Sunday job is important, as shown by the number of visitors who come to see if I've posted, yet. Also my husband can copy my edited version for sharing on his own profile. Close to 25 or so folks look for it at one place or the other. Works for us.
